About Us

Bazil Grumble creates exciting children's theatre performances; facilitates hands on multi-arts workshops and conducts weekly drama classes for over 250 school students.

We assist organisations to create dynamic projects for their communities and we specialize in many facets of the arts such as performance, drama, clay animation, ceramics (workshops and community installation projects), juggling and clowning, playwriting, puppetry, mask making, storytelling and book binding.

We are Brisbane based but travel to locations across Queensland to facilitate diverse programs for people of all ages.

Bazil Grumble workshops provide exciting opportunities with the aim of inspiring both creativity and learning and allowing participants to imagine, communicate, co-operate and participate in a safe and supportive environment.

Powerkidz Theatre Intensive—multi day workshop
The magical world of theatre is waiting for you. Be inspired and empowered by a fantastic range of fun activities for your voice, face, body and imagination.  Drama helps kids with leadership, confidence, self-esteem, clear speech, physical and social development, lateral thinking and teamwork.

Powerkidz Flying Origami
Zoom, zoom, zoom; fly faster and higher. Using the ancient Japanese art of Origami, you will learn how to make your paper planes fly faster, longer and higher than ever before with new and innovative folding techniques. Be the envy of all your friends with your amazing plane.

Powerkidz Pottery Wheel Funshop
It’s time to get your hands dirty. Delve into the fun and
engaging world of pottery with this incredible new workshop. Workshop facilitators will guide you through the techniques of pottery wheel and hand sculpting. Learn the tricks of pottery and create a range of objects that you can take home.

Powerkidz Puppets Galore
Students create fun folded card puppets and use a variety of exciting new and recycled materials to bring their individual character to life.

Powerkidz Mask Creations
Children learn how to create a mask out of exciting materials just like those in our Bazil Grumble plays! We finish with a masked parade of all our new!

Powerkidz Clay Animation
Create characters from clay and bring them to life on film. In groups, participants will create models in clay and have the sequence filmed frame by frame using stop motion animation. Their self esteem will be boosted when they see their own art on the screen!

If you enjoy films like Wallace and Grommet and Chicken Run, then this is the workshop for you! Narangba Library and Moreton Bay Regional Council are hosting Bazil Grumble’s Clay Animation workshop as part of the SHAFT youth program for students who reside in or attend high school in the Moreton Bay region. The workshop is on 9th of July, 10am - 12noon at Narangba Library at the Shopping Village, Main Street. Bookings essential. Contact the Moreton Bay Regional Council on 5433 2052.

Got rhythm in your hips? Perhaps you are keen to show your Hula Hoop skills to the kids? Come along on 12th of July to Perrin Park, Josling Street from 10-11.30am for a Hula Hoop Action workshop which is part of Brisbane City Council's Active Parks Program. FREE EVENT for ALL AGES. If you ever feel inspired by the graceful ribbon twirls of gymnasts then this is the workshop you have been waiting for! Our Pottery Classes at Pallara in June are all currently booked out however there is a waiting list if you are really keen to get involved!
