Drama Classes

Bazil Grumble drama lessons provide a great range of different drama games and activities which aim to improve
our students’ confidence, communication and presentation skills, group interaction skills, improvisation skills, and imagination. The classes are a great deal of fun and allow the students to meet new people and develop new friendships. Classes incorporate students from various year levels and the teacher ensures that every child is consistently engaged in the activities, and challenged at a level appropriate to their age. The classes are very popular, with many of our students having been enrolled
for a considerable length of time.

During the course of the semester, students are introduced to basic elements and techniques of theatre, particularly
preparation and presentation; expression, confidence and voice projection; and interaction with the audience.
At the end of the semester, family and friends are invited to come along and view an open lesson or
performance showcasing the drama skills learned.

Drama classes for Term 3 will resume in the week beginning 13th July. Holland Park and West End classes will
begin on 19th July due to the student free day. To begin the online enrolment process, simply click on the link above. It is essential for the safety of your child that we receive an enrolment form before your child attends class.

Mission Statement
Bazil Grumble promotes confidence and self esteem in all our students through the educational and enjoyable medium of drama. Bazil Grumble students are constantly learning while having fun in the safety and comfort of their school!

Our Drama Teachers believe:

• Drama Classes challenge children to think laterally and imaginatively.
  
• Drama Classes will involve interaction with other children, promoting teamwork through activities such as improvisation, playbuilding and ensemble performance.
  
• Drama Classes will extend young peoples' performance and presentation abilities and give them an advantage throughout their lives.
  

In addition to the attitudes and skills such as confidence, self-esteem, lateral thinking, imagination, and teamwork, Bazil Grumble Drama Classes seek to teach children:

• Expression, pronunciation, vocal projection and eye contact
  
• Confidence in speaking to an audience
  
• Techniques of writing and performance of scripts
  
• The ability to act individually and in groups
  
• The ability to act and react to another performer on stage
  
• Different styles of performance such as mask, mime, puppetry & creative movement.
  

Bazil Grumble teaching staff are industry professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of Drama Education and Children's Theatre. Our teachers are enthusiastic, energenic and committed to ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. Bazil Grumble teaching staff have:
