Bazil Grumble drama lessons provide a great range of different drama games and activities which aim to improve our students’ confidence, communication and presentation skills, group interaction skills, improvisation skills, and imagination. The classes are a great deal of fun and allow the students to meet new people and develop new friendships.
Classes are offered for children from Prep to Year 7 and the teachers ensure that every child is consistently engaged in the activities, and challenged at a level appropriate to their age. Where enrolment numbers are high and a second classroom is available, we will split the classes into a senior and a junior group. Our aim at all our classes is to have a ratio of one teacher for every ten children in the class and class enrolments of no greater than twenty five. This ensures every child’s voice is heard and their skills and abilities nurtured. Indeed, the classes are very popular, with many of our students having been enrolled for a considerable length of time. Children and their parents all love Bazil Grumble Drama Classes!
The classic tongue twister “she sells seashells by the seashore” is always a favourite with children and young people and so we have selected the ocean theme to inspire our young actors in term 1 (January to April). Our students will be learning about the foundations of drama, the basic drama skills that can apply in practical situations; our students should be given the skills to be ready to act with confidence in all aspects of their lives. Poems, tongue twisters and short scenes will be explored in a fun and dynamic learning environment with our experienced drama teachers. The term will conclude with an open lesson including polished performance content that will showcase skills and knowledge developed throughout the term through individual, small group and whole group presentation.
