Mini Makers Art Classes

Are you looking for an activity for your child that is imaginative, fun and educational while inspiring creativity and improving lateral thinking and fine motor skills?

Our Mini Makers Art Classes are held for children in Prep to Year Six in The Old Schoolhouse Studio, every Thursday from 7.20am to 8.35am. Term one runs from 1 February to 22 March (eight weeks). Classes are not held on public holidays or pupil free days.

These classes will be a truly sensory experience and will allow children to engage with:

  • Pottery (on a real pottery wheel and hand building with clay)
  • Clay Animation
  • Drawing and more!

Grant Hodges, local ceramic artist, educator and Artistic Director of Bazil Grumble, will guide children through a range of amazing and interactive weekly creative arts experiences. Set in the idyllic and peaceful surrounds of Upper Brookfield State School, students will love attending our unique classes at The Old Schoolhouse Studio. Each week will have a different theme and across the term the students will improve their self-expression, confidence and creative focus. They will enjoy the diversity of opportunities to engage with various techniques and processes. Students will learn collaborative and problem solving skills while on their journey of discovery through visual communication. The term will conclude with an exhibition of the children’s art works for family and friends to enjoy.
