Case Study

Our Artistic Director, Fiona Bazley Hodges is a registered teacher with the highest rating for teacher suitability and is currently working on a regular basis with teachers of Prep to Year Six from Brisbane Metropolitan schools.

Fiona teaches the students drama in a manner that serves to compliment their learning in other curriculum areas. The classroom teachers observe and participate in the lessons and work with Fiona to develop strategies that they can use to extend the learning concepts from the drama lessons into other areas of the curriculum.

Principals see this as an ideal professional development opportunity for their staff as it allows teachers to gain first hand knowledge of creative methods of implementation of the arts and drama in particular. Fiona works with teachers to develop arts festivals, musicals and other special events that allow every child to reveal their individual personality and creativity in their roles.
