INTERACTIVE PLAY WITH KIDS COLLECTIVE AT ROMA STREET PARKLAND – FREE!
During school holidays the parkland is buzzing with free activities for children aged 5 – 12 years old!
Find Bazil Grumble at the Children’s Garden Lawn from 9am – 1pm on Friday 4 October! Come and join this fun and energetic session! Children will play hilarious drama games, engage in physical activities to stretch the body and imagination and enjoy the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt in the beautiful surroundings of the Roma Street Parkland.
ACTIVATE CHILDREN’S CLUB – ASCOT, WEST END AND SHERWOOD – FREE!
A free weekly program for children aged 3 – 10 years with cumulative benefits presented as part of the Brisbane City Council’s Active Parks program.
Come and get healthy and active, meet new friends and develop a new skill each week. Using balls, hoops, parachutes, tunnels, jumping sacks, puppets, storybooks, costumes and music, participants will explore all the different ways their growing bodies can move. These sessions will ACTivate the children and their caregivers and have a focus on creativity and fun in a safe, relaxed and energetic environment.
ACTivate will be offered from 3.45pm – 4.45pm in three different locations in term 3:
- Oriel Park, Ascot – every Monday from 14 October to 25 November.
- Orleigh Park, West End – every Wednesday from 16 October to 27 November.
- Sherwood Arboretum – every Friday from 18 October to 29 November.
There will be two sessions running simultaneously – one for children from three to four years of age, and one for children from five to 10 years of age. Children register just once for the full program.
